Conclusion

Pamela Anderson had it going for her from the start with the title

"Centennial Baby" as she was the first child born after the Centennial

celebration of Canada.  And after she was discovered at that football game

her life picked up pace and was never the same again.  The public eye had it

out for her and the nationwide public grew aware of her through her Baywatch

character, C.J.

The beach loves her, the nationwide public loves her, and so

does the tabloids.  To be American Icon status one must have controversial

issues surrounding something about them and Pamela has had her share which

have been blown up by the media coverage of them which just made her into

an even bigger star and in the long run an icon.

From her start as being part of media advertisements to now every move

she makes being published in the tabloids or shown for entertainment pieces of

the news Pamela Anderson is a prime example of what and how the media

can make and break an American Icon.
